I think I forgot what a journal is.
Man, it's a weird feeling trying to adjust to Dreamwidth again after so long on Tumblr. Dreamwidth is an infinitely nicer environment in general, and I'm already thrilled to have comment threads and the ability to talk to people in a sane and organized manner back, but I'd really come to depend on Tumblr's low entry barrier for engagement. Now that I'm looking at an actual journal again instead of a largely-microblogging site, I keep feeling like I never have enough to say to merit posting.
A lot of this is probably more mindset and being out of practice than anything; I'm sure sooner or later I'll get over the preoccupation with having something worth saying and get back into the swing of using this website like I used to. (Starting with this post, apparently!) I have really missed that, so I'm excited to get back to it even if I'm currently going ???? internally.
(I'm still going to have to figure out what to do with the kinds of things that were more suited to Tumblr, though. What do you do with one-off memes and shitposts when you can't just toss them in the relevant tag at a moment's notice?)
